Appointed in September 2025, Gemma brings a wealth of school improvement experience to her role of Director of Performance, Standards and Quality Assurance at Consilium Academies. Gemma has held various senior leadership positions in schools, within some of the most challenging communities in the country, including10 years experience of headship and executive headship within schools in the north east and the midlands. Her most recent role before joining Consilium Academies was as Regional Executive Principal for the north region for Lift Schools, which focussed on improving outcomes for students; enhancing student performance and ensuring that curriculums were fit for purpose. Gemma is passionate about ensuring that all students, regardless of background, are able to access a rich and broad curriculum that meets their needs and ensures that they can go on to live successful and healthy lives. Gemma is also passionate about ensuring that all staff feel valued in their workplace and are given every opportunity to develop themselves at all levels. With over 20 years of experience within education, Gemma is known for her commitment to all staff and students; her passion for ensuring that all students can be successful and her collaborative approach to school improvement.
