This Christmas, local secondary schools Consilium Evolve, Thornhill Academy and Washington Academy, part of Consilium Academies, are celebrating the retirements of three highly valued colleagues.
Washington Academy, has been spreading Christmas cheer in the local community by supporting Washington Manor Care Home in Concord, continuing a valued tradition that takes place each year.

Robert Bell, Principal of Consilium Evolve Sunderland, has been named SEND Leader of the Year at the National School Awards 2025. The award was presented to Robert at a prestigious ceremony on Wednesday night ( 3rd December 2025) held at the House of Lords.
Students from Year 11 at Wyvern Academy, part of Consilium Academies, recently embarked on an unforgettable educational trip to the Western Front in Belgium and France, visiting key historical sites including The Ypres Salient, Passchendaele, Hill 62, Lochnagar Crater, Vimy Ridge, Thiepval, Tyne Cot, and more.
