KS4 students from thornhill academy Take on the Phoenix Project
Students at Thornhill Academy are developing valuable skills and challenging themselves through an exciting enrichment programme with Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service.
Our KS4 boys have been taking part in the Phoenix Project, an initiative designed to help young people build confidence, resilience and teamwork through a range of practical challenges and activities.
The programme is providing students with opportunities to develop their communication skills, work collaboratively and step outside their comfort zones, while gaining valuable experiences that will support them both in school and beyond.
The sessions have given students the chance to learn in a different environment, take on new challenges and develop skills that can help prepare them for life beyond the classroom.
Thornhill Academy would like to thank Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service for their continued support and for providing our students with such a valuable and engaging enrichment opportunity.
