Consilium Evolve Students Put Photography Skills into Practice with Professional Staff Brief
Year 10 GCSE Photography students at Consilium Evolve have put their creative and technical skills into practice by taking on a professional photography brief to capture staff headshots for the setting’s team board.
Rather than bringing in an external photographer, the students took responsibility for the project themselves, planning lighting, composition and positioning while helping staff feel comfortable in front of the camera.
The project provided students with an authentic opportunity to work to a real brief and apply the skills they have developed through their GCSE Photography studies. Their photographs are now proudly displayed around the setting as part of the staff team board.
Adding a creative touch, each photograph is double-sided, featuring a professional headshot on one side and a more light-hearted image on the reverse, capturing the personalities behind #TheEvolveTeam.
The project showcased the students’ technical ability, creativity, confidence and professionalism, while giving them valuable experience of working with real clients and producing work for a genuine purpose.
Staff also embraced the opportunity to get involved, helping make the project a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
