  • Ellesmere Park Students Explore Careers at Manchester Museum

Year 10 students recently enjoyed an exciting and educational visit to Manchester Museum as part of National Careers Week.

The trip offered a valuable opportunity for students to explore a range of careers linked to museums, science, and heritage while engaging with one of the city’s most fascinating cultural institutions.

During the visit, students took part in guided activities that highlighted the various roles involved in running a major museum. From curators and researchers to exhibition designers and conservation specialists, students gained insight into the wide variety of career paths available in the museum and heritage sector.

Katie Parkinson, Assistant Principal for Personal Development and Wellbeing, said:
"Education visits like this are incredibly important because they help students see how the subjects they study in school connect to real careers and future opportunities."
