Wyvern Academy in Darlington, part of Consilium Academies, is set to benefit from the nationwide rollout of solar panels funded by Great British Energy and the UK government. The scheme, announced 17th November 2025, will deliver rooftop solar installations to over 250 schools across England - enabling them to generate clean, home‑grown electricity, reduce energy costs, and reinvest savings into education.
