Wyvern Academy celebrates best-ever results

The academy has seen an impressive increase in the number of students achieving a Grade 4 or higher in both English and Maths, representing a significant improvement on the previous year. There has also been strong progress across individual subjects.

At the heart of life at Wyvern Academy is a strong belief that education extends beyond academic results. The academy provides students with access to enrichment opportunities twice a day, ensuring that young people have regular opportunities to discover new interests, develop practical skills, build confidence and form positive relationships.

The academy’s enrichment programme includes an impressive range of activities, from a fully equipped gym and Formula One Club to girls’ football, astronomy, cooking, life skills, Minecraft, stitching and mindfulness, alongside many other opportunities.

These activities form an important part of the academy’s commitment to excellence in opportunities, giving students experiences that may not otherwise be available to them and helping them develop skills and interests that can support them both inside and outside the classroom.

“We also understand the importance of building strong relationships between students and staff. When young people feel known, supported and settled, they are in a much stronger position to engage, learn and succeed. We are incredibly proud of how settled our students are and of the positive relationships that have been developed across our academy community,” Ms Robinson added.
