Heworth Grange Students Bring Their Creativity to Life with New School Mural
Students at Heworth Grange School have helped transform their school environment with a vibrant new mural, created in collaboration with local artist Mark Shields.
The project gave students the opportunity to work alongside a professional artist, develop their creative skills and see their own ideas brought to life in a permanent piece of artwork.
From developing ideas through to seeing the finished mural take shape, students played an active role throughout the project. The experience provided an opportunity to build confidence, collaborate with others and develop skills beyond the classroom.
The new mural is now a permanent feature at Heworth Grange, providing a colourful and inspiring addition to the school that students can feel proud to have contributed to.
The project reflects Consilium Academies’ commitment to investing in its academies and, importantly, in its students, providing opportunities for young people to develop their talents, explore their creativity and gain experiences that can have a lasting impact.
